Locktober 2026 chastity timer

October has 31 days.

744 hours.

44,640 minutes.

Think you can hand them over?

Simply Locked gives you a simple online timer for Locktober 2026. Choose the full month or your own duration, decide who controls the release, and start without creating an account.

When is Locktober 2026?

Locktober 2026 starts on Thursday, October 1 and runs through Saturday, October 31.

The official Locktober site describes it as:

“the annual October chastity challenge.”

Participants may stay locked for all or part of the month.

If you want the traditional full-month version, your challenge runs through the end of October, with release once the month is complete.

Do I have to do all 31 days?

No.

Locktober is not an exam.

You can choose:

  • the full month
  • two weeks
  • one week
  • a weekend
  • the rest of October
  • a duration of your own

If you discover Locktober on October 17, there is no rule saying you need to compensate by extending into November.

Start where you are.

How to start a Locktober timer

With Simply Locked:

  1. Choose your Locktober duration.
  2. Confirm the exact release date.
  3. Select I’m being locked.
  4. Decide who controls the release.
  5. Optionally secure your key in a combination lockbox.
  6. Start the countdown.

You can begin without registering.

Three ways to do Locktober

1. Keep it simple

Choose Just lock me.

You set the release at the beginning and the timer counts down.

No keyholder. No voting.

Just October and the clock.

Use the online chastity timer if that is all you need.

2. Give someone else the month

Create an online chastity keyholder lock.

One trusted person gets control of the release.

That can work whether they are sitting next to you or hundreds of miles away.

3. Give October to the crowd

Create a crowd-controlled chastity lock.

Share the voting link and let other people move your release earlier or later.

You may start October knowing the original date.

You might finish with a very different one.

Starting late?

Do not overcomplicate it.

If October 1 has passed, pick what remains or choose a shorter challenge.

For example:

October 10: about three weeks remaining.

October 17: roughly two weeks remaining.

October 25: one final week.

Simply Locked shows the exact release date before you start, so a mid-month lock does not accidentally spill into November unless you choose that.

There is still plenty of October left without turning the calendar into a punishment for discovering the challenge late.

Planning for 31 days

A full month is different from testing a timer for an evening.

Think about the boring practical things before you begin.

That includes:

  • device comfort and fit
  • hygiene
  • your normal schedule
  • travel
  • sleeping
  • exercise
  • access to an emergency release

Locktober should become more interesting because of the challenge, not because you ignored something predictable.

Hygiene during Locktober

On locks longer than 24 hours with a combination, Simply Locked can offer temporary hygiene unlocks.

The first unlock becomes available after 12 hours.

Unlock reveals the combination for 30 minutes. You unlock for hygiene, set a new combination, and confirm you are locked back up.

The next unlock waits about 20 hours after that.

Miss the window and the lock stops, with the remaining time shown.

The timer does not pretend the physical part happened automatically.

If you personally do not want hygiene access available as a temptation, Simply Locked can let you permanently disable it for the current lock.

October is the theme. The timer is the rule.

Locktober is a calendar challenge. Simply Locked is the countdown that makes the challenge stick.

You can post about October without a timer. Plenty of people do.

A live release date, an optional lockbox code, and a clear choice of who controls the end turn the month into something harder to negotiate with yourself.

Using a lockbox

A resettable combination safe can keep the physical key unavailable while Simply Locked manages the timer.

The basic process is:

  1. Put the key inside.
  2. Set the lockbox to the generated combination.
  3. Scramble the dials.
  4. Start the Locktober timer.

Keep an independent emergency release method available.

The timer is part of the challenge. Emergency access is separate.

What if I fail Locktober?

Then you stopped a challenge.

Nothing more dramatic needs to be invented.

If you want to try again, start another lock.

If 31 days was too ambitious, choose seven next time.

The useful question is not whether your first attempt was perfect.

It is whether the duration you chose made the experience worth doing.

Does Locktober need a keyholder?

No.

A keyholder is optional.

Some people prefer a fixed self-lock because the rule is clear from the beginning.

Others prefer another person deciding what happens.

Crowd mode is a third option if you want participation without appointing one individual keyholder.

Can I use Crowd during Locktober?

Yes.

This is one of the more interesting ways to combine the two.

Start a long October lock and share the crowd link over the course of the month.

People can continue influencing the release as the challenge develops.

A lock that began as “31 days” can become a live result shaped by everybody who found the link.

What does Crowd do to a 31-day lock?

In Normal Crowd mode, votes scale from the original duration, with caps on each click:

  • Keep adds up to 1 hour.
  • Show mercy removes up to 4 hours.
  • The crowd can move release by about 10 days earlier or later in total.

So you may start October knowing the original date, and finish with a very different one, without anyone being able to stretch the lock forever in a single vote.

Locktober without an account

Simply Locked does not require registration before you start.

For something as long as a full-month lock, however, creating an account after starting is sensible.

Signed-out locks depend on browser storage.

An account makes it easier to retain access across devices and if local browser data is cleared.

Full month or first attempt?

If you have never tried a long chastity lock before, there is no prize for choosing 31 days purely because the calendar says October.

A short test before October can tell you far more than guessing.

Try an evening.

Then overnight.

Then a weekend.

If those work for you, a longer Locktober becomes a much more informed decision.

31 days if you want them.

Less if you don’t.

Choose the time. Decide who is in control. Get locked.
